Basic Obedience – RED LEVEL CLASS This class is for dogs that have not had any previous formal training. We will work on socialization, targeting, nose touch, sit, down, come when called, stay, leave it, give, attention and controlled walking. This is a key foundation class for more advanced obedience or agility classes.
Shape/Capture/Lure – RED LEVEL CLASS This class will give you the basic ski. necessary to get just about any behavior you would like from your dog and it is all done in a purely positive way. The skills thaught in this class will be something that you will use for the rest of your life no matter what area of dog sports you pi. to make your mark on
Beyond Basics – Obedience – BLUE LEVEL CLASS Prerequisites: Basic Obedience, CGC Certificate or Instructor Approval. Handler must have control of dog on leash – no lunging or constant pulling. Please note that there WILL BE HOMEWORK for this class, Ibis class will concentrate on the foundation ski. needed for Obedience and Rally competition including components of attention and beginning heeling, body awareness, recall, position changes (sit, down, stay), and stays.
Canine Good Citizen – Obedience – BLUE LEVEL CLASS Prerequisites: Basic Obedience or Instructor Approval. Please note there WILL BE HOMEWORK for this class, Ibis class will concentrate on the foundation ski. needed for passing a Canine Good Citizen test. Some of the items on the Canine Good Citizen test as example are: accepting a friendly stranger, sitting politely for petting, appearance and grooming, walking on a loose lead, walking through a crowd, sit and down stay, coming when called, reaction to distractions and supervised separation.
Beginner Rally – Obedience – YELLOW LEVEL CLASS Prerequisites: Basic Obedience, CGC Certificate or Instructor Approval Class objectives: Handler will learn Rally rules, how to perform each Novice sign correctly, point deductions, what you can and can’t do the ring at this level, tips for successful performance. When class is finished, handler and dog should have the necessary skills to perform a Rally Novice course.
Advanced Rally – Obedience- GREEN LEVEL CLASS Prerequisites: Beginner Rally Class or Instructor Approval Class objectives: Handler will team Advanced Rally rules, how to perform each Advanced sign correctly and review Advanced signs, point deductions at this level, what you can and can’t do in the ring at this level, tips for successful performance. When class is finished, handler and dog should have Unnecessary ski. to perform and Advanced Rally course.
Excellent Rally – Obedience- GREEN LEVEL CLASS Prerequisites: Advanced Rally Class or Instructor Approval Class objectives: Handler will team Excellent Rally rules, how to perform each Excellent sign correctly and review Excellent signs, point deductions, tips for successful performance. When class is finished, handler and dog should have the necessary skills to perform an Excellent Rally course.
